No, certainly not. The consequences' of the Civil Rights Movement would have been different if they had been lead by King instead of Malcolm. The reason behind this is that both of them belonged to different cultures and religion. They both opened their eyes in two different environments that had a huge impact upon the establishment of their personalities. King was raised in an environment which was well-organized and cared for education whereas Malcolm was provided with a family that was unprivileged and went through several hardships. Malcolm believed that there was no equality and that blacks had to retaliate against the white's in order to gain rights. Whereas, King believed that all races are equal and that love was the only cure. The Civil Rights Movement would have been far more peaceful if it had been lead by King. Malcolm was a man who had deadly plans and was sure to use force against whites in any case. The difference would certainly have brought about a change in the American History as well as a huge impact upon the Civil Rights Movement. -Regards, Hope it helps.
