A good trick question as the play involves a magic, unexplained time warp. It starts out in 20Th Century Scotland, where a pair of travellers ( both men) loose their way- that is get disoriented- on foot in the original- and find themselves in this magical village. The Time warp supposedly occurs only once in 400 or so years. Despite this Hamilton-like precision- tale is not Science Fiction and is romantic- but in a sense a blend of the Shangri-La or Shamballa genre and setting it in Modern (??) Europe. The Lost Horizon cast entered Shangri-La by accident- an air crash landing- not so with Brigadoon. It was revived in the late seventies- Personally, I would not waste my time on an impossible plot.
