When you choose to outsource your transcription, choose a company that is in a country that gives you real cost advantage for work done. India is right now the best place to outsource your transcription top, both in terms of quality and price. Try doing an online search for a good transcriptions service.

Transciption services are also offered from other parts of Asia, China and Europe. In my experience, pricing is very competitive from all of these nations. You should worry less about where they come from, and more about their skills and past customer feedback.

If price not quality is your primary concern, consider the target language and hire someone from a region that is going to have had greater exposure to it's grammatical structure. For example, if it is English transcription, someone from Europe or India is likely to provide a better product then someone from China. That said, if you wanted Cantonese, then China, or HK would be more likely to be better.
