what is the important country in south America?

First of all, I assume you mean "What is the mostimportant country in South America?" Second, in order for anybody to provide a proper answer, you have to include some sort of criteria. For instance:Which country in South America is the poorest (defining "poorest" as having the largest number of people living off of $2 a day or less?) Suriname, with a whopping 27.2% of the country)Which South American country has experienced the most significant economic growth? Chile: Though the vast majority of countries in South America have experienced significant economic growth in the last two decades, it is the only country which remains virtually unaffected by inflation and impossibly high interest rates. Because of histories of high inflation in nearly all South American countries, interest rates remain high and investment remains low. Interest rates are usually twice that of the United States. For example, interest ratesare about 22% in Venezuela and 23% in Suriname. The exception is Chile, due to the fact that it has been implementing free market economic policies since establishing military dictatorship in 1973 and has been increasing its social spending since the return of democratic rule in the early 1990s. This has led to economic stability and interest rates in the low single digits.Which country in South America has the greatest GDP?Brazil: nominal GDP at 2,492,908 as of 2011; GDP (PPP) at 2,294,243 (as of 2011.)If you don't provide a specific set of criteria, each answer you will get in response to your question will vary wildly from the last, and all will be a matter of opinion.

Is it a poor or rich country South Africa?

South Africa is one of Africa's wealthiest nations. It has the highest GDP value in Africa. Its stock exchange (JSE) is one of the strongest in the world. However, due to a large population and unemployment, the GDP per capita is low. Therefore it is not easy to judge which is the richest country in Africa since a country like Seychelles can have a very low GDP value, but since it is a small country it can have a high GDP per capita value.
