The total time will vary based on one's internet connection. Movies are of a very high quality and may be easily over one gigabyte in size. Unless one has an Internet connection that costs hundreds of dollars a month like a T1 line, when dealing with gigabytes, it is going to take time.
Most people manage to install iTunes in a few minutes. If it is taking a long time there is something wrong which can probably be fixed by restarting the installation with a fresh copy of iTunes.
The download time for a movie from iTunes will depend upon the length of the movie, if it is an HD movie, and the speed of the downloading connection. For example a 2 hour movie will take about 25 minutes to download with a 5 MB broadband connection, but will take around an hour if it is in HD. Over a 1 MB connection it will take at least an hour and the HD version can take around 4 hours. Movies can be watched while they are being downloaded.
The amount of time it can take to download a 4.5 GB movie can vary depending upon the internet speed. On average it should take about 2 hours.
yes, buy or rent them from the iTunes store.Answer:well, that doesnt answer the question. i think they meant like can you take your dvds and put them on itunes. but no you cant do that because itunes wants you to buy or rent their movies, that's just how they want to make money obviously! it sucks but whatever... if you really want a movie you have to buy it or rent it.

yes, you can download dvds on to itunes, when i had bought some movies, i bought them with another disk other than the movie, the other disk was meant to download to the computer to either watch the fim on there or download it to itunes, therefore, after you downloaded it to itunes, there are only certain ipods u can download the movie to, such as an iPod touch, what i have. and then when u download it to itunes u can put it on your iPod only if it says it is able to take in movies, but yes, you are allowed to download it on to itunes.
iTunes is around 64MB in size so should only take about 2 or 3 minutes to download with a reasonable broadband connection speed.
First, you have to drag the desired movie to the movie section in iTunes. Then, plug in your iPod until the iPod symbol appears in iTunes. Then, just drag the movie onto the iPod symbol, then it will take a few seconds to transfer (process viewed at top of iTunes screen), and then you're done.
Dowload iTunes and take it from there ;-)
