I doubt they'd have a problem paying the claim. But considering how the law wasn't followed, don't be shocked when your premium goes up for not following the law.
If anything, the teenager that didn't follow the law should be ticketed, I doubt the insurance company would throw a fit over it, they'd just raise your rate.
