Many auto parts retailers will have a plug-in trailer connection that is designed specifically for your vehicle. If they do, it's usually just a quick process of following the directions. It's worth it especially since it can help you keep from having the connections corrode.
I'm answering my own question. The BLUE WIRE is behind the driver's side kick panel. On my '92 Jeep Laredo, it was folded up on itself with no connector. This is the wire that goes back to the 7 pin connector that operates the trailer brakes. It is typically connected to the BLUE WIRE on the brake controller. Dan

Get a wire coathanger and bend a hook on one end and slide it down between the door glass and the window rubber and try to hook the door lock button.
The brake controller has to be hooked up to a power source. The controller also has to be hooked to the brake switch or tail lights, then to the plug for the trailer.

To hook up a trailer to a 2007 Honda CR-V, first ensure the vehicle is equipped with a proper towing package and hitch receiver. Next, align the trailer's coupler with the hitch ball on the CR-V, lowering the coupler onto the ball until it clicks into place. Secure the coupler with the safety latch and attach the safety chains to the vehicle. Finally, connect the trailer's wiring harness to the CR-V's electrical system for brake lights and turn signals.

First, locate the vehicle's wiring harness, typically found under the rear bumper on the driver's side. Connect the harness to the corresponding wires (usually following a color-coded diagram) and secure it with electrical tape or connectors. Finally, plug in the trailer's connector to the harness and test the lights to ensure proper functionality.
