I'm answering my own question. The BLUE WIRE is behind the driver's side kick panel. On my '92 Jeep Laredo, it was folded up on itself with no connector. This is the wire that goes back to the 7 pin connector that operates the trailer brakes. It is typically connected to the BLUE WIRE on the brake controller. Dan
maybe
Recommended: 3,500lbs with Class 2 or 3 hitch. Maximum: 5,000lbs with Class 3 weight distribution hitch. Towing 5,000lbs without a weight distribution hitch is not recommended and may lead to jack knifing.
Assuming this is the 3.7 liter its max towing capacity is 6500 lBS.
The maximum tosing capacity of the 2011 Jeep Grand-Cherokee is 7400 lbs..
The maximum tosing capacity of the 2012 Jeep Grand-Cherokee is 5000 lbs..
3500lbs with factory towing package.
I don't believe there is one. I had to have mine wired in.
Not all 1500's where built with it. If it is there it will be above the parking brake.
yes
2000 pounds unless it has the factory towing package, then it is 5000 pounds
yes but to be sure just check the rating on the towing package
maybe
It has a trailer brake controller, upgraded bumper and towing mirrors. Also includes the items listed on the tow package.

If they are properly equipped with the factory towing package, it shouldn't be a problem
The brake wire is under the floor mat.
Really depends on the rear end gearing and type. Typically 2000 max unless you have a towing package then I believe it can be as high as 4000.
