I just bought a 1994 q45 and I asked the same thing. i was told that you must remove the total paneling from the front of the radio by using a butter knife or flat object to lift the panel off of the middle console around the drive stick. then you must take out the screws so that you can remove the panel from around the radio. At thi spoint you can know take out the radio.

An ASE master technician posts on a Nissan website:

You'll have to slide a panel popper tool (looks like a bent screwdriver with a fork end) between the dash vent/clock assembly above the radio and carefully pop it out. This will expose two screws that hold the faceplate on. Remove those screws and carefully pop out the bottom of the finisher which is held in by clips. Once the face is off, you'll simply remover the six screws that hold the radio in and detach the electrical and antenna wires using a small pocket sized screwdriver.

You have to remove the under steering wheel panel, the lower glove box, the gear shift panel and the panel the clock is in. Then remove screws on the side panels on each side of radio (lower) to allow the entire radio component to be removed. It is held by one screw behind clock and two screws at bottom under gear shift panel. Then slide it our carefully. Lot's of fun...
