How do you remove the front panel to install a radio in a dodge ram?

Fairly easy,I did it in about 5 mins.(2000 Dakota with Infinity system) You need to pry off the bezel that surrounds the dash. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the bezel,and pop it out of its retaining clips. I had to lower the tilt steering wheel to make room to get it out. Once that is off,you'l lsee the radio. Mine is held in by 2 bolts,just unscrew them and the radio unit will pull out.

Step 1. Remove the ash tray. slide it out and remove the 2 Philips head screws on the ash tray holder.

Step 2. Remove the cup holder. Same process: slide it out and remove the 2 Philips head screws holding it in place.

Step 3. Remove the dash bezel (plastic piece surrounding the radio, heater controls, instruments, etc.). Tilt the wheel all the way down for clearance, then wedge your fingers in between the bezel and the dash at the top. Give it a good, firm tug outward and it will come free on top. Work it free, then unhook the cigarette lighter wires and auxilary power socket (if it has one) wires too. Remove the entire bezel and set it aside.

Step 4. Remove the radio. You'll see two large screws on either side of the radio. Remove them and slide the radio out. Remove the antenne wire plus the black and gray connectors (side by side) from the back of the radio.
