Cluster Lights.Pull the black trim piece off surrounding the instrument cluster, There should be a screw on either side about 4/5ths of the way up the cluster that have to be removed, then slide the top of the cluster towards you. and the bottoms are Popped into place so it might take some playing with to pop them out but just pulling or prying with a screwdriver should work. then unplug the instrument cluster from the dash (top right hand side)and all your bulbs are located on the back..... As for the radio, i have no idea how to replace the lights on it, better off buying an aftermarket or picking up a used one from a wreckers
Make sure that you used the correct bulbs. If you look at the bulbs in the store, you will notice that some bulbs have one element in them and some bulbs have two elements in them. If you bought the bulb with only one element, you won't have break lights - just tail lights. You need the bulb with two elements. Check the book at the auto parts store and make sure that you buy the correct bulbs. I'm having the same problem with my 1991 Honda Accord. I'm not getting any power to the break lights. The one in the back window wont work either. The Tail lights work but the break light wont. Fuse and bulbs are good. Please help.
I do not beleive your jeep uses bulbs in the console. I have a 2000 grand cherokee and it uses a light strip that is part of the console and can only be replaced with the shifter assembly....... I plan to cut the wires from the light strip and install a pep boys console light that uses replacable bulbs....probably will just lay it in there as long as it is protected and safe... Good luck
