It will cause the oil to sludge up over time.
Why Is the fan is not running fast enough to cool down the motor? On A Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo 202
Its located on the passengers side of the vehicle under the dash right next to the recirculating vent and the vacuum motor...........
It's under each individual seat.
I mean how do you disassemble the fan blower in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. how do you remove the blower fan from the car in the Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo.
Perhaps a bad thermostat and/or a heater core
No way of answering without knowing what motor you have.
The thermostat is to help the motor warm up more quickly and run better. Without the thermostat installed the motor may not reach normal temperature in very cold weather.
Yes.
Yes
The thermostat on a 1998 Isuzu Trooper is located on the front of the motor. It is in the top radiator hose where it connects to the motor. To access the thermostat, the hose needs to be disconnected from the motor.
It doesn't technically need one, but I would recommend it. Running the truck without a thermostat would let motor run at a good temperature, but it also wouldn't allow the radiator to cool it as good. Without thermostat the motor and radiator will stay around same temp. so if motor ever did run hot so would radiator. With a thermostat at allows the coolant to be cooled in the radiator before it opens up to go through the motor.YesWith out a thermostat the engine will not get warm enough to evaporate any moisture in the oil an severe sludging will result.
in motor
The jiggle valve's a small hole on the thermostat itself (not a separate part). It's merely there to help free the system of trapped air. Follow the hose from the top of the radiator to the motor and you should find the thermostat housing. Removing the housing will reveal the thermostat and at the top of the Tstat should be a small hole -- that would be the jiggle valve (if your thermostat actually has one).
well no damage will really happen the thermostat allows the motor to get to a warm temp with out one the motor will (should) run slightly cooler but in the winter months the heater will not work very good.
To find the thermostat all you have to do is follow the top radiator hose back to where it connects onto the engine, that's your thermostat housing that it connects to and the thermostat is under the housing.
if you are going to install anything other than a thermostat, then you are better off leaving nothing. the car will run find without a thermostat, in warm weather. it will still run without a thermostat in cold weather, but i do not recommend it because it will leave the valve open and the radiator fluid will be constantly flowing through the motor. what the thermostat does is block off the flow until the car reaches approx 170 degrees F. then once it reaches this temperature, the thermostat opens up allowing the fluid to flow, and thus cooling off the motor. so, without a thermostat it will just constantly flow, and will simply take longer to warm up. I've ran with without a therm. throughout winter without a problem, but you will have to let it run for 10-15 minutes until the temp. warms up. the thermostat is only a $12-$20 piece, so at that price, why not have one?
The thermostat on a 1995 Saturn SL1 is located on top of the motor. The largest hose coming off the radiator will have to be loosened to access the thermostat housing on the motor.
