The Kia Radio says hold because an improper activation code has been entered 3 times. The way to fix the issue is to: 1. Loosen the positive battery cable and disconnect it for about 3 minutes 2. Reconnect the battery cable and secure it 3. Turn the key on, not the engine until the radio lights up and it will ask for a code 4. refer to your owners manual, it IS printed in the manual. very hard to find on my 2002 kia spectra but it was in there. 5. use the radio buttons to input the correct code 6. The HOLD and CODE commands on the radio will disappear and you will have to re-program your stations. ============================================= As a theft deterrent, anytime the radio looses power (i.e. the battery is disconnected), it requires a 4-digit code to reactivate it. If the code is entered wrong 3 times, the word "HOLD" will appear on the screen. To fix it, wait one hour with the battery connected, the radio turned on, and the ignition key in the ACC position. When the word "CODE" reappears, enter the correct 4-digit security code using the radio preset buttons; From pages 9 and 10 of the "Audio Owner's Manual": For the first digit, press preset 1 a sufficient number of times for the correct number to appear. For the second digit, press preset 2 a sufficient number of times. For digit 3, press preset 3, for digit 4, press preset 4. If the correct code is not displayed, repeat the steps until it is. When the correct code is displayed, press the SEL button once. If the system is still locked, repeat these steps. I had debated including the default security code here, but seeing as the stock radio is not even worth the effort to steal it, it is "1111"
my 1993 mercedes-benz has a radio that when it is turned on reads holdhow do i enter codes
If you look under the knob that says display, there are 2 small buttons on each side. Make sure the radio is off, and the hold the "hour" button until you hear a beep. then you can use the buttons to adjust the hour and minutes
It's not broken, the power has been disconnected(flat battery, radio removed, blown fuse). Just do as the radio says, turn the key to the auxillary position, switch the radio on, wait 2 hrs and then enter the code.
There is a code inside the cover of the folder of books that came with the car and an instruction manual of how to put the code into the car
It says "Avalon 2003", and the other arm says "Dawson 2001". They are the names and birth years of Mike's kids.
i have a 2000 kia spectra, the owners maual says 13.1 gallons, i usually get the gas light at about 11.5 gallons
Under the FM button on your radio, it says clock. You hold that button down until the clock on the radio blinks. You then use the numbers 4 and 5 on the CD changer to adjust the hour and minute. This answer is for a type-s.
The instruction of timing belt kit from Continental says that it is interference, so I wouldn't take a risk

20 gallons of gas says the manual
Who is it who says "on" on heart
Hold On...
The manual says 13.2 Gallons but I have actually put in a little more so YMMV...
Hold the SRC/power button until the radio is off. Then hold the big button until it prompts you. When it says "Clock Set" you hit the select button again and the rest is easy.
in most cases all you have to do is hit the power button or it may have to have a code to start it up
Mine was reset when the radio says "code" by entering 2456 on radio channels
Try grounding the radio to your car. It's that empty hole in the back that says GND.
