If you have the owners manual it should be in there. We bought ours from someone who didn't have the code BUT they had some work orders from a dealer and under the comment section the code was listed. It will say RC then it will have 4 numbers. Hopefully you have some old work orders that you can look at. Good Luck!!

The code to reset the radio is specific to your car. No one will know that code. If you cannot find the code written down somewhere, contact your Buick dealer for instructions on how to get the code. the easiest way to do this is by disconnecting the battery for about 3 minutes and connect it back. It seems only a VW dealer can give you the code--they look it up from a database, based on both the car's DIN # and a part number on the radio itself. You can take the car to a car audio shop and they will remove the radio for you and then provide the necessary part numbers. Call the dealership and along with the VIN number they will provide you with the code. Once you have the code there are several steps you have to take to input the code.
Take the serial number off the radio and the vin number of the vehicle to a dealership and they will be able to get your code for any individual radio.

To reset the radio from 'safe mode' on a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle, you need to enter the radio code. If the code starts with a zero and your radio does not have a zero button, you can enter the code by using the other numeric buttons. For instance, if your code is 0123, you would press the buttons corresponding to 1, 2, and 3 in sequence. If necessary, consult your vehicle's manual for specific instructions or consider seeking assistance from a dealership if you're unsure.
remove the radio, and get the serial number. then go to the nearest dealership and they will give you the code to unlock the radio. i would also recomend writing it down and keeping it in the car, as i am sure you will experience this problem again
To reset the radio code in a VW Beta 3 radio, first, turn on the radio and wait for the display to show "SAFE." Then, turn off the ignition and press the "TP" and "RDS" buttons simultaneously while turning the ignition back on. After that, you can enter the correct radio code using the preset buttons. If you don't have the code, you may need to consult your vehicle's manual or contact a Volkswagen dealer for assistance.
