Check the fuses.
He's an Taurus. He was born in may 5, 1989.
The first thing that I would check is the wiring and the temp sensor @ the engine. Sorry but I do not know where the sensor is located on the engine. Usually they are not too hard to locate. i would replace temperature sender usual located near front of engine near thermostat housing

Go in the trunk. Reach up through the hole between the speakers. Bend down the speaker grill flanges (top ones). Go inside and pull out speaker grill from the top. Now you have access to the speaker bolts. Good luck! Matt G.
In a Ford Taurus, the car radio battery constant 12v+ wire is green/black, the radio accessory switched 12v+ wire is black/pink, and the ground wire is black/green. For the font speakers, the left front speaker wire (+) is orange/blue, the left front speaker wire (-) is blue/white, the right front speaker wire (+) is tan/green, and the right front speaker wire (-) is green/orange. For the rear speakers, the left rear speaker wire (+) is gray/blue, the left rear speaker wire (-) is brown/yellow, the right rear speaker wire (+) is black/violet, and the right rear speaker wire (-) is orange/violet.
on my 1999 Taurus I took the window tint off and I need to get at some pieces of tint that fell into the center brake light area, so how do I take out the rear speaker panel so I can get rid of all of the tint pieces. Thanks
Best Buy and Crutchfield will let you know which speakers will fit in your car. For example Infinity 6x8's will fit in the rear deck of your Taurus.
There are diagrams of a ford 2001 Ford Taurus SE engine. The diagrams are great for mechanics who need to do repair work on the engines.
Adjusting speaker volume between the front and rear speakers is known as fade.On the 1996-1999 models, there is a separate button on the radio controls labeled 'fade'.Reference page 32 in the Owners Manual for more.See "Related Questions" below for more
Hi, Removal of the rear speakers on a 1993 Taurus is very simple and straight-forward. First remove the speaker grilles. The grill comes off much like a slide-out cell phone battery cover would. Each end of the grille has a lip which is tucked underneath the deck lid. Gently push or lift the grill out, being careful not to bend it. (If you do it's okay, they can be easily bent back into shape). With the grill removed you'll be able to see the speakers which are screwed in with 4 screws. Remove the four screws and unclip the speaker harness and the speaker will come right out. Speaker size should be 6X8" and you can pick up an adapter from Crutchfield which allows you to connect your new speakers to the factory wiring without any splicing. The whole job shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
Start with removing the door panel. The speaker mounting screws are likely to be something unusual - like maybe 5.5 mm(?)Here's a tip from my mistakes: do NOT cut the factory wiring!Try and ensure you end up with a converter wire harness that will plug straight into the factory plug and allow you to adapt to the new speaker.Places like Crutchfield.com carry them.See "Related Questions" below for more about door panels and Taurus - Sable radio/speaker wiring.
The speakers in a 1998 Ford Taurus are 6X8, or 5X7. 6X8 and 5X7 would both mount in it, but the 6X8 are obviously bigger. Only bad thing is you won't be able to use any good looking speaker grilles because the metal covers in the back.
Yes. But, I never seen one mounted in the window? If you have a saw to cut the window or a hole in the tray below the window - have at it.
