D-the second lowest open string of the violin, placing your third finger on the A string also gives you a D F-the note right above E (the highest open string of the violin) or placing your second finger on the D string
Nothing. It goes on your permanent record, but nothing happens at all.
You really should not do this. Instead take it to a violin repair person and get their opinion if the instrument's value will go down if you refinish it yourself. If they tell you it is a low value then go ahead and do it. The odds are you have a factory made violin that was mass-produced and is low quality. But there is always the chance that it might be a better quality instrument that has fallen into disrepair and refinishing it would kill the chance of selling it for what it is worth. Hope that this helps.
the part that amplifies the sound is the body of it. the sound waves vibrate the ody which gives off a loud sound. the laurge sound comes out of the curly holes / slits at the front of the violin.
It depends on what sort of 'good sound' you are trying to get at.If you want your violin to have more of a closed rather than open sound, get a mute.If you like loud and 'jig-worthy' get an electric violin. These are very popular in 'string-fests' and busking villages. If you are just looking to not get any wrong notes, you don't need any special equipment. Just practise repeatedly until you get good enough at the song to memorize it.There is one other thing- the kind of strings you have for your violin. There is one of my personal favourites, called the Dominant string. This gives a loud and rich tone and even if you aren't playing too well, the strings cover it up with their great sound.
The sound wave produced by a violin is a complex waveform with multiple harmonics. It is generated by the vibration of the strings, which are then transmitted to the body of the instrument and amplified through the resonance of the hollow body. This combination of harmonics gives the violin its unique and rich tone.
It gives you its pot of gold.
Basically , read it.

The violin is lighter, can create higher pitched notes, and is cheaper. I prefer Viola's myself, but maybe I'm just prejudiced. And it is the instrument that allows more technically challenging peaces, which gives a composer a bigger scope of compositional techniques to apply
