it's the bridge that is used by default by Gibson and epiphone an their SG and les pual guitar's, they can also be found in other Guitars aswell. the stop tail piece comes with most of the tune o matic bridge guitars. tune o matics only modify the guitars intonation.
My Hagstrom Swede Reissue, for one, but it is simply a generic modern-style Tune-o-matic bridge, which is probably made in China, like the rest of the guitar.
you may be able to with glue or something the results wont be great though but you wouldn't believe how cheap the stuff is to replace on ebay. I'd have fun and customize the guitar. I'd take it off if you can and replace it , a beginner tremolo system is like 6$ on ebay just make sure it looks like yours. if you do get the tremolos arm off of the guitar they are like 2$ I'm on ebay a lot :)
The main differences are the pick combination and the bridge: A normal Les Paul has two humbuckers while the melody maker usually has just one or two singlecoils thus giving it a more steely, strat like tone.Newer models have a P94 Pickup which is more like a humbucker than a singlecoil. The Les Paul has a two peice bridge which includes a stop tail and the tune-o-matic bridge. The Melody maker hast a wrap around bridge which is made of just one piece.
Guitars can be tuned quickly and easily by using an online tool such as the Tune-O-Matic. Guitars can also be tuned by buying a guitar tuning machine that listens to the sound of the guitar and tells the user if it is in tune or not.
Head and shoulders knees and toes...
No, but it has a duble tune-o-matic bridge, and i thin that thetune-o-matic bridge is an awsome bridge, mayneits the best
yes but you have to tune down your strings
Depends on what kind of bridge you guitar has.
E.g a tune-o-matic Doesn't float. No tremolo. etc Like a good old Gibson Les Paul.

its all preference, tune-o-matic brides are great, i personally like wrap around like on cheap BC Rich guitars to Chuck Schuldiners signature guitars.
The Bridge
you must to lock the bridge block with a couple of pieces of wood o whatever, but put atention in the correct bridge angle, now you can tune perfectly you guitar, after this unlock the bridge. you must to lock the bridge block with a couple of pieces of wood o whatever, but put atention in the correct bridge angle, now you can tune perfectly you guitar, after this unlock the bridge.
