try this.this is how it works on my 98 jgc. hope it helps Disconnect your battery, then remove the two nuts from the starter wire harness. Pull the wire and cable of the studs. Remove starter bolts and slide starter out of bellhosing.
The bleeding sequence is back right,back left,front right,front left works on the later 98's to 2004 jeep grand cherokees
Press and hold the reset button about 3 seconds.it gonna be appear how many miles you need... it works..
The knuckle could be heli-coiled if the damage is not too bad. If the stripped threads are on the caliper, replace the caliper.
If you are referring to the grid on the window you have to find the break. A test light works well for this purpose. There is a paint product available at auto parts stores that works as a bridge to complete the connection in the grid.
I think its both .. I have a 2 way remote starter.. and a 2001 grand prix se and i can tell you #$%@ its a $#@^$ if the remote starter works the key dosent and vise verse.. I was told for the key if it dosent work (factory key) unlock and lock the driver and passenger door a couple times that should enable it.. as for the remote starter well I got a viper 2 way (think its viper) and it bunked out again on me today for the 4th time... on the 3rd time it blue my starter (kepr trying to start me car when it was allready running..<--- that was a blast noone belives me...

I'm sure the remote starter is very useful for those winter mornings. I would suggest checking with your local car dealer for a replacement remote. You can also check out www.motortrend.com to see if the starters have issues.
auto zone sell remote starter ,not neccessarlly expensive but works really good.
There are various sizes and ratings used. Replace with what you take out.

You need a remote start system that works with the alarm/smart key system. You can not just unhook the alarm.
