find the closest metal in the car and use a self tap screw and a drill and put it there.
You are supposed to strip the wire.
Make certain that the wiring is connected properly but also, check the ground wire. Don't count on the hitch to be the ground for the trailer. There should be a ground wire that goes to the electrical plug, make certain that it is connected properly.
It's pretty easy, but if you have to ask it might be better to get a pro to do it for you. It's worth the money and it'll ensure you still have warrenty. here is a blog about how to put in a car stereo. www.oemcargps.com/blog
Answer I had a similar problem when I put a CD player in my 92 explorer. The problem was that somehow I used the hot wire from the headlights. I simply just rewired the power wire and problem solved. First of all I would check the power source. If you didn't use a wiring harness some of the 12v power is discontinued when you turn the headlights on. Using either a voltmeter or testlight check for a constant power source. THE MOST COMMON CAUSE OF THIS IS CONNECTING YOU VEHICLES DASH LIGHT WIRE TO THE GROUND ON THE STEREO
under tha steering colum there is a metal bar and above it is a little silver box. remove both and unplug the wires from that box and those will attach to your wire harness for your new radio. just run them up through to where the new radio will go. the factory radio will stay and the new one will go where the tape deck is. just did all that to my 1990 silverado
if your asking if you can put subwoofers on the stock radio then no you have to have an aftermarket radio
The Mitsubishi Eclipse radio code is the code that makes your radio work. You need to put this code in any time you disconnect the battery.
you can ground it right to the frame. just find a bare spot and put a screw with the ground wire
there is a little thing called a ground block you need to get this and put it to something non- moving
Somebody please answer this i am also having a problem. if i wire the aftermarket radio it does not even power on. but if i put the stock radio back in it works. could this be a problem with the ground? Help!
no, it has to be in the ABC
A ground is a ground...You can put it to any metel part or screw as long as it makes contact with the chassis or frame.
You are supposed to strip the wire.
gound it put the wire in the ground of the car sterio
make sure amp remote wire is connected to p.cont wire and not power ant wire on the radio
there is no accesory switch wire on the 02 malibu.....you must run your accessory wire from your aftermarket radio to the thick brown wire coming out of the ignition to the left of the radio bay and put a fuse in the wire close to where you tapped into the brown wire on the wire from your radio also your door chimes will work again
Did you cut factory plug for radio hook up?
