Paul met John at a church social where John was playing a gig; John asked him to join shortly afterwards. George met Paul on the bus, going to the same school, and he joined the band in 1958. He lived in the same neighborhood as John and Paul, and Paul and him had similar interests in Skiffle, American rock, as well as going to Liverpool institute together. Ringo belonged to a local band called Rory and the Hurricanes, and joined when The Beatles were looking for a new drummer.
Ringo. In fact, Ringo was the oldest Beatle, and the rest of the gang considered George the baby brother. (If that answers your question. Ringo:Oldest Beatle George:Youngest Beatle

George Harrison was a school friend of Paul McCartney; they met riding the same bus back and forth every day. When McCartney joined John Lennon's initial band the Quarry Men in 1957, fourteen-year-old Harrison began tagging along to their shows, bringing his guitar. If another member didn't show up, he was allowed to fill in for them.Harrison could already outplay the rest of the Quarry Men's guitarists, but wasn't considered at first for membership because of his young age. Lennon thought of him as a "bloody kid" who tended to get in the way, but was gradually won over; Harrison would play "Raunchy", a mutual favorite song, anytime Lennon wanted. Over time the rest of the band quit, leaving just Lennon, McCartney and Harrison.Goerge Harrison joined the Beatles when they were still known as the Quarrymen in 1957 George was 15 at the time
He MAY (hard to prove) have stolen some instruments in the early Beatles days. A cheap guitar from the era was found stashed in the attic of his Aunt Mimi's home recently. There is also the legend of the Beatles playing a "battle of the bands" and he stole another band's acoustic guitar. But back in the early, struggling days of the group, all of them were known to be somewhat light-fingered from time to time - and they were probably no different from other groups in the same boat. George Harrison once bought an amplifier, and when asked what it cost him, replied "A pound down, and the rest when they catch me".
Paul McCartney- Bass, piano John Lennon- Rhythm Guitar, piano George Harrison- Lead Guitar, Sitar Ringo- Drums, other misc. percussion And of course they all sang. They do play other instruments but these are their primary instruments.

Paul McCartney was not featured in Helen Shapiro's video "Look Who It Is" because he was ill at the time of filming. The rest of The Beatles—John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr—were present and performed in the video, but McCartney's absence was due to his recovery from a mild illness. This led to his being replaced by a stand-in for the performance.
John Lennon would be considered to be the founder of the Beatles. John Lennon formed the Quarrymen with some school friends in March, 1957. Paul McCartney joined in July and George Harrison joined in February, 1958. In 1960, the name varied from the Beatals, the Silver Beetles and the Silver Beats, the name focussing on variations of the word "Beat". Later in 1960, a slip of the tongue announced the band as the Beetles, which soon became the Beatles. Ringo Starr joined in September 1962 and the rest is history.
"The rest of Harrison's appearance was Halloween and hardware."

In 1956 he started the Blackjacks (soon to be the Quarrymen). In 1957 he met Paul after a mutual friend (Ivan Vaughan) introduced them. Paul introduced George Harrison in 1958. By 1959 early members of the Quarrymen left the group and they were calling themselves Johnny & the Moondogs. By 1960 they flip-flopped between the names the Beatles, the Silver Beatles and back again. In August of 1962 they recruited Ringo Starr (formally a member of Rory Storm & the Hurricanes) as drummer. Soon after they were considered the top band in Liverpool and the rest is history.
