drums were more than likely invented in many places, including Africa, the Middle East, in Mesopotamia or modern-day Iraq. The oldest drums to ever be discovered were found in Iraq, dating back to 3000 BC. In the same general area, there are carvings that depict drums and date back to about 6000 BC.

The oldest drums we know of were discovered in the region that would have been ancient Mesopotamia, in what is today's Iraq, and are around 4500 to 8000 years old. These drums were very different from and have almost no relation at all to the modern drum set.

Drums were discovered at around the time of 6000 BC. Basically since the dawn of man drums have been used as war signals or for musical, fun purposes.

Drums have been around for thousands of years in many different cultures.
There isn't a specific place. It was invented by the Native Americans or indians. They used it for when they had their ceremonies/rituals (whateverrr!!!). They'd dance around it and sing a song. They would have different instruments, like a drum. They believed the boom sound from a drum was the thunder that would bring them good luck.
well some drums are from marli and are made out of animal skin
