Your Levermatic may not have a serial number! Pre 1968 .22 rifles were not required to have a serial number, and are legal without one. There may be a date code on the left side of the barrel, near the chamber area. The date code will be two letters, a thru L for the months Jan-Dec., and F thru L for the years 1962-1968.
If it is a Shure wireless handheld microphone, the serial number is located in the battery compartment. Unscrew and remove the casing that covers the battery, and look on the side of the tab that the battery rests against. There should be a white label with the serial number on it.
It probably isn't stamped anywhere on the gun. If you know the manufacturer and model, there may be a serial number. If there is a serial, there may be records which will give an approximate date of manufacture.
The serial number of a clarinet is generally located on the back of the upper joint.

Caliber can not be determined by serial number.
No way to know the caliber from just the serial number
Serial numbers do not designate calibers. Look on the brrel to ID the caliber.
Can't tell the caliber from just the serial number.
The manufacturer is normally stamped on the firearm next to the model, caliber, and serial number.
It would be in 36 caliber or 44 caliber...
Basically impossible to do with just the serial number.
By model, caliber and serial number.
