They used a device mounted to their Guitars. The product name is "Spins". It is a rotary electrical contact and strap mount. A hole is bored in the back of the guitar at the balancing point and the device is mounted there. If you observe closely, you will see that the strap goes over their RIGHT shoulder, not the left, and that the strap is not attached to the guitar at the traditional strap lug points. This is actually a far more comfortable way to hold the instrument.
I do not know if the company still manufactures this product.
