your problem is more than like the automatic choke.....they fail alot in the older model 6cyl
Code 55 comes at the end of every code reading. It tells you that that is the end of the trouble codes. What ever code you get before it is the problem. If you get no code before, then you have no problems that you powertrain control module recognizes.

Yes, Jeep Cherokee, Grand Cherokees both have issues with the evaporators leaking refrigerant in many cases. the most fun to drive would have to be the wrangler in my opinion..but the most reliable would be a cherokee..I've had mine since 1994 with barely any problems.
