If a volume knob has a high resistance, then the radio's volume would be low because more of the electrical signal would be resisted and not reach the amplifier and thus not reach the speakers.
Usually when the radio display starts to flash it is a sign of failure. Sometimes the volume goes haywire as well getting loud and quiet on its own. It is usually cheaper to just buy a new radio and install it. It seems to be a common problem. I hope my information helps you. Take care.
Yes, a guitar speaker has next to no excursion, meaning it cannot get very loud with low frequencies. This can also cause lack of bass in some cases. DJ Speakers dont have much excursion, but because of qualtiy, size and other things it is still loud even when the volume is turned down.
fortissimo
it problably has to do with the amplifier, which is what provides the power to them. this means that it is not able to go this loud so it will shut the connection if nessecary.
The owner's manual tells you how to lower the chime volume, it is changed through the radio. It's not possible to completely silence it. Addition: With the car turned on and the radio off press # 6 on your radio buttons and that will change it from normal to loud (even though the normal is loud as it is).

Turn down the volume! It is too loud!
Its pretty loud. Might wanna turn it down abit
The TV has a built in Automatic Volume Control (AVC) circuit to regulate volume, but it is really intended to prevent sudden changes in volume as you switch stations. The best thing is just to turn down the volume yourself if it is too loud.
The faster you go, the louder the surrounding noises get. Air flowing around the car, tires on the road, etc. They are hard to notice because they build slowly, as your speed increases. Since the radio has a fixed output, (the volume knob), it gets drowned out by the road noises as you drive faster. And when you adjust for this, the radio is suddenly too loud when you stop and those noises go away. Speed compensated volume tries to adjust the radio automatically so it isn't too loud when you slow down, or too soft at higher speeds. If it's doing it's job right, you'll never notice it working.
To prevent distractions, the radio volume should be controlled by the driver. However, the driver should not adjust the radio controls while driving. Also, any volume affecting the driver's ability to hear the surrounding environment both in and out of the auto is unsafe.

Try turning the volume on your ipod down... How loudly do you play your music on your ipod? And also go to iTunes, check any random song that has been known to play loudly, and click get info. Press the OPTIONS tab, and check where the "volume adjustment" slider is. Try turning that down
