Many people enjoy Classical Music more than baroque in the same way that many people enjoy listening to the latest hits rather than something from 50 years ago. Classical music (from the classical era (1750-1820)) is a lot freer in structure than baroque music (baroque era 1600-1750). The baroque style involves things such as terraced dynamics (ex: going straight from loud to soft, no gradual diminuendos), detached quarter notes, and following different forms, allowing almost no exceptions. As Musical Instruments improved, society changed, and more radical ideas came out, music changed. The classical era still does not allow emotions to rule throughout the expression of the music, but there is a definite structured expression allowed. New tone combinations were put into use, and different instruments were added allowing new highs and lows in the dynamic range. Crescendos and diminuendos are evident here.
Yiruma's music style is popular with a classical twist. The style is classified by ITunes as World Music or New Age. Although influenced by the classics and sounding classical in parts, his music is much more popular in structure.
A classical crossover singer is an artist who blends elements of classical music with popular genres such as pop, rock, or musical theater. They often possess classical training and vocal techniques but present their music in a contemporary style, appealing to a broader audience. This genre allows for a fusion of orchestral arrangements with modern sounds, making classical music more accessible and relatable. Well-known classical crossover singers include Andrea Bocelli and Il Divo.
Pop Music is modern day music that a large amount of the population enjoys listening to. It is written quite recently and has almost no rules as to how it can sound. Classical Music can actually encompass three large periods of music (Baroque, Classical, and Romantic). It was written in the 1600's to the 1800's (Baroque was the earliest, then Classical, then Romantic). The rules were much more strict than they are now, especially in Baroque and Classical music. Essentially, pop music is popular and modern. Classical music can possibly be considered the "pop" music of centuries ago.
Not too sure about art music, but classical music usually takes time within the classical, baroque, romantic, renaissance, and contemporary eras. All classical music is acoustic, meaning no electric instruments, give or take an electric piano, violin, or viola... Art music is a term used to refer to "advanced" music which relies more on formal style and theory. The opposite of art music is popular music. Classical music is a category of art music which includes traditional classical music (this is divided based on the region where it originated) and modern classical music (electronic, experimental, and minimalist music). Art music also includes certain forms of jazz which are considered to be less "popular" and more theoretical improvisation.
Classical music wasn't as you know it today. Today we have multiple genres spanning the entire music scene of the world. Several centuries ago Classical music was simply music. There was no disparity between what was classical and what was not. Nearly everything of the time was classical therefore it became popular from its inception. In terms of instrumental classical music, that took off at the demise of the Baroque Period and beginning of the Classical period. Rising middle-class wages allowed for a wider range of audience in virtuoso performances and public orchestras. Music was a sign of prestige and therefore those who could not perform at least attended. It was one of the primary sources of entertainment besides plays. Popularity for classical music has dwindled since the 19th century. And there is little hope it will be revived through the few neo-classical artists remaining.
Yes, it has got more modern

Neo-classical music is characterized by a return to the principles of classical music, such as clarity, balance, and formal structure. However, it incorporates modern harmonies, rhythms, and techniques. It differs from classical music in its use of dissonance, irregular rhythms, and a more individualistic approach to composition.
It can be. Mozart wrote lots, but so did some more modern composers.

Modern ballet is more from this century. It isn't to music you would here in a symphony where as classical is. Classical is when you go to The Nutcraker and see ladies op on pointe shoes doing things like pirouettes.

It would be more correct to say that classical music existed for quite some time before jazz and blues. All three: Classical, jazz and blues - continue to be very popular. Some jazz musicians (Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington, and others) had some success combining elements of the two together.
Could you be more specific. Classical style of what, who, when where etc.
Southern music was more soulful. And Northern music..was probably more classical...More refined.
In music, "classical" has two meanings. The generalized term, "Classical Music" denotes art music composed for performance, as opposed to popular songs, rock, or theater music. The more specialized meaning, within the larger category of classical music, denotes symphonies or other types of music composed in the mid- to late-18th century through the early 19th, by Haydn, Mozart, early Beethoven and their contemporaries, known as the "classical period". Alternately, "classic" can just mean a favorite or standard for many years, like classic rock, classic bluegrass, etc.
