The simple answer is, you get what you pay for. When plastic surgeries are planned out, both the plastic surgeon and the person getting the surgery plan out what changes are to be made. The surgeons will tell you if they think the nose will fit you, but will not force their opinions down your throat. If you still wish to go through with the surgery, then that is your choice.
They are not allowed to refuse surgery simply because they do not like the look of the nose, because that is simply unprofessional.
On top of that, all plastic surgeons make you sign a contract, which puts them at no liability if you become unhappy with the changes. So, in the end, it was Michael's call about whether or not he wanted to go through with the surgery.
