You need to have sex with it before you start getting personal.....
Go to Autozone.com and you can find out what flasher, and where it is located. :)
If all the bulbs and fuses are good and you still do not have turn signals, chances are very good that flasher is bad There are a few ways but I find either reverse up to a wall or a large window then turn the flasher on. you should see the light bounce off the wall or window.
Answerpleas go to www.corvetteradios.com and look up what type of GM radio you have, and they will tell you what bulb you need and how to replace it. Second opinion: I have a 2000 P M with same problem & the Chevy dealer told me it could not be replaced. He said they replace the radio.Ye! Sux I know!
The check engine light comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, a check engine light is lit when there is a problem in the emissions or somthing that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions.
My son had the same problem on his 1995 Monte Carlo. The brake light in rear window worked , as did the tail lights and emergency flasher but no brake lights came on when pushing the brake pedal. Anyway , the problem was in the turn signal switch. This involved taking the steering wheel and column apart , taking the airbag out ( careully ) and it was more than I wanted to handle. The mechanic charged 227.00 including part and labor. .
Flasher relay is defective.
The bulb is falty, replace it and it should cure your problem.
replace your hazard flasher. I have the same problem
Have you checked your fuses? Does the turn signal light up at all? If it does, you most likely need to replace a flasher.
Check the relay. Turn signals work off of a flasher. Replace the flasher they are usually cheap. If that does not fix it check the signal switch. That is the thing that you use to turn on the turn signals. That is usually the problem.
Sounds like there is a problem with the turn signal switch but it could be another problem. First you need to see if the hazard light's work normally when turn signal is not on, if it does the the turn signal switch is the problem. If your hazard lights do not function when you turn the hazard light switch on, then it's a simple fuse or flasher canister that has gone bad and your hazard flasher is in the on position. If the Hazard light's have a bad fuse or flasher canister and is in the "ON" position it can cause the problem you describe.
u need to replace the flasher unit in the vehicle
The flasher is broken. It is located inside the hazard switch and easy to replace. The switch is about $30 from the dealership and takes 10 minutes to replace.
The flasher on a 2002 Alero is all part of the hazard switch up on the dash. I just had mine replaced under GM's special policy for the signal light problem and I asked them where the flasher was.
You should have more than one bulb in your flashers and I would say one of them is burnt out. Just replace the bulb and it should fix the problem Usually, when the inside flasher, flashes at a more rapid pace than normal. It usually means that that side light bulb is bad. If that is the case, it normally is the case, I would replace both to be on the safe side.
It is under stering wheel column on the far right side right by the radio, there is nothing else there. If have trouble finding it unscrew the panel and turn the flasher on and off, we will be able to hear a light click from the flasher even if it out of order.
Your flasher relay is shot and you need a new one.
