I think that Michael Faraday invented the dynamo(electronic generator) because people needed electricity to see in the dark at night & use electronic Things.One history programs told how electricity was discovered and devices built to produce it but no one knew what to do with it. So, it became a like a play thing for rich people at parties and such. Seriously. It is similar to the demonstrations that they give at High Schools to amaze the students.
