Iodine is used to test for starch; when the two are combined a deep bluish-black color is produced. This is a result of the intensely colored I3- ion forming inside the helices of the amylose regions in the starch.
Fats! Lipids are fats, ase means an enzyme, put them together and that's what happens.
cornstarch/cornflour (samething) water the ratio is 2parts cornstarch 1part water cover clothing put cornflour in a bowl add water mix with your hands or spoon Enjoy (btw its called Oobleck)
You put it in a Freezer with a temperature of 30 degrees Fahrenheit or colde ^The guy who wrote this doesn't have a clue. Sorry to break it to you, but you can't get liquid iodine. (Well, you can. But that's EXTREMELY difficult, and it requires a change in atmospheric pressure.) Iodine's melting point is 113.7 degrees Celsius. This means that if you DO have liquid Iodine, dropping it below 113.7 degrees will cause it to form it's solid. What you probably have is a liquid solution of iodine. This will most probably be potassium Iodide; you'll need something to displace the iodide ion from the solution. This would either mean reacting it with Bromine ions, Chlorine ions, or Fluorine ions. All of these reactions are extremely hazardous, and I do not recommend conducting them yourself. If you need Iodine crystals that badly, I suggest buying them from a chemical store.
medow They grow together in a meadow. They are put together in a bouquet.
When you put three compasses together, they will each align themselves with Earth's magnetic field, pointing in the same direction. This is because the compass needles are magnetized and respond to the Earth's magnetic poles. You'll see all three compasses pointing in the same direction, indicating north.
Blue color
Crisps are made from potatoes which are very high in starch. When iodine is added to starch it forms a complex with it and results in a purplish color. you get the same thing if you put an iodine sol'n on bread or cornstarch.
It's best to ask a veterinarian about the use of iodine on a guinea pig. However, cornstarch or styptic powder can be applied to a guinea pig's injured nail.
ok, the rice will turn black when you put with iodine. It just like burning, but it is faster then fire!
If you put a drop of iodine on a piece of paper, it will react with starch on the paper turning it blue-black. This is a common test for the presence of starch.
Putting iodine in a gas tank can lead to engine damage and potentially cause the vehicle to stop functioning. Iodine is corrosive and can react with the metal components in the engine, leading to serious damage. It is not recommended to put iodine in a gas tank under any circumstances.
Iodine is a poison. It can also cause skin damage. It also will cause the noodles to change to a blue black color
If they are put together in equal parts, then they will equalize the PH level.
remove the disc and put the two vertebrae back together. what happens to the nerve?
You get an explosion.
anything can mix together really, i think what you mean is chemically bond together, iodine is put into table salt(NaCl) for 'health reasons', but I'm not sure if it can bond with sodium alone
When iodine comes in contact with an apple, it reacts with the starch present in the apple and turns black or dark blue. This reaction indicates the presence of starch in the apple as iodine is used as an indicator for detecting the presence of starch in various substances.
