have the alternator checked. sounds like it is not producing enough current to run when at idle. also have battery checked as a bad alternator can trash a battery
The BMW e34 has many features. The most noticeable ones, are a powerful V8 (eight-cylinder) engine, luxurious interior and leather seats, and 6 gear manual transmission box.
Interior heat uses the engine heat. If the engine is still cold, the heater will blow cold. If the engine is warm and the heater is blowing cold, you have a problem with the heater. Check the water in the radiator and see if it is rusty. If it is rusty, change your coolant, thermostat, and hoses. Look at the heater hoses when someone steps down on the gas pedal. If a hose collapses, replace your heater hoses. Otherwise take it to a mechanic.
inboard gas engine exhaust
That is the capacity of the cylinders in that engine.
If petrol mixes with engine oil in a 4 stroke engine then the mixture becomes thick and its combustion will not be efficient. The exhaust will be smoky due to this incomplete combustion. also this will reduce engine efficiency.
You may see the headlights and dash lights flicker at an idle. You may hear unusual noises coming from the alternator when the engine is running.
Sometimes the ground strap to the body of the car can come loose. This will cause things to flicker. Ground from the battery needs to be connected to the engine block, the frame, and the body to keep things working properly.
you need to replace the the keypad on the door....the membrain has cracked and is letting moisture in.....if you leave the headlights on auto you will find they will go on and off too
If the engine isn't running, the battery is low. If the engine is running, the alternator probably has a problem. If you are wearing dark sunglasses, remove them and the lights will get brighter. good luck!
Bad door switch or bad headlight switch
It needs a new engine... :(
Make sure you have a good earth ground between the body of the car, the engine block and the battery.

wait for the glow plug light to go out before starting if not and starting straight the engine will judder
The problem is most likely a bad connection between the starter and the power source or a bad starter itself. Does the car make a clicking noise when you turn the key to the start position? Does the engine try to rotate over or rotate very slowly? Do the headlights/interior lights dim a lot when you try to crank it over?
It is possibley your alternator or battery
Because Mitsubishi Eclipse 1996 doesn't have automatic headlights.
