Do you mean, why is metric the only system used in science, or why is science the only place you use metric?
Metric is used in science because it is the only recognized international standard system of measurements. Even units not in the metric system, like inches or pounds are legally defined in terms of metric measurements (an inch is officially 0.0254 metres). Scientists use the metric, or as they call it SI, system to avoid confusion when sharing information, NASA'a mars rover crashed because one American company built their components us non-metric units. Also metric is easier to understand, learn and use.
Science isn't the only place metric is used it is the only system of measure for almost the whole world, with only Liberia, Myanmar(Burma), and U.S.A using an alternative. If you haven't seen it outside of a laboratory you're probably not looking, it's everywhere.
There are no specific states that use only the metric system, however on most things that are relevant (gas and food mostly), there are multiple readings, the metric is generally slightly smaller though. If you are referring to science then the metric system is always used.
No, pounds are not used in any modern system.
(g) grams- is the unit used in the metric system.
No
The only three countries who do not use the metric system as their primary system of measurement are the United States, Liberia and Burma (Myanmar). Other countries have adopted the system but do not use it in all cases, for example road distances and speeds are still measured in miles and miles per hour in the United Kingdom.
Both imperial and metric is currently used in the UK. The metric system is exclusively taught in UK schools. So, eventually, as children become adults, the metric system will become the norm. Resistance to using the metric system is usually from adults who were taught the imperial system when they were schoolchildren.
Since the metric system is the system of measurement used in all sciences, Celsius is usually the form of temperature measurement used.

use the regular measurement systemsfor the taks) ----------- Answer ----------- Normally, the metric is used pretty much exclusively in Physics. This is common for most, if not all sciences, because the metric system is easier and all scientists around the world can understand it if you want to publish anything. It's like English is the common language for many scientific papers.
No, pounds are not used in any modern system.
so we can measure your head ================ Because it's easier to use. Every unit is divisible by 10. It's designed for used with the decimal point. The last I heard, there are only 3 countries (U.S., Liberia, and Burma) in the world that don't use the Metric system. It is used exclusively in science because of the fact it is easier to use. Even the U.S. uses the metric system in science and medicine.
The metric system is used for measuring anything and everything.
The metric system is used for temperatures from Celsius.
Most sciences employ the metric system of measurement. In fact, most of the world in general uses the metric system.Technically, the standard set of units most often used is called SI units, although many of them are similar to the metric system. See the Related Questions link for all the SI units.
The metric system is used everywhere.
The metric system is an internationally agreed system for measuring physical and chemical attributes.
