Hope this will help.

A subscription letter is a letter written to an entity that has publications to offer such as dailies, journals, yearbooks, etc.

It contains, of course, the usual parts: the heading (the exact address of the letter-sender and the date the letter was written); the inside address (which contain the name of the person you are writing to which must be correctly spelled, but if you are not sure of the person's name, its better to just write the position of this person in the company/agency and his address); the salutation; the body; the complimentary close, and; the sender's name with signature above the name. Dear Ma'am:

I am izyljohn O. laforteza, an AB English senior student of the Mindanao State University @ Tawi-Tawi who is into writing my thesis: A Comparative Study of the Sulu and Maguindanao Evacuees' Folklore in Pursuit of Peace".

Fortunately, I was able to have a complimentary copy of your publication "Ang Babaeng naging Kalabaw" (The Woman who became a Carabao) which was a real-life incident that happened to one of the evacuees during the 2000 All-Out-War that the Philippine Government launched in Maguindanao.

I also learned that you have other publications about Sulu and Maguindanao evacuees' situation and folklore.

With this, I would like to subscribe for all available publications that your foundation has on Sulu and Maguindanao Evacuees and other relevant materials that would be of help in my study as well as your monthly or quarterly publication about peace advocacy that the foundation has taken.

Kindly e-mail me at lyzillaporteza@Yahoo.com of the subscription rates and the mode of payment that I shall be charged on this subscription.

Thank you very much and hope that this letter finds you in good health.

Very sincerely,

izyljohn O. laforteza
