Because the 6 year old is still growing, whereas the dad would (may be growing) but not as much as the child. The child needs calcium in his bones to get taller, the dad is growing much slower if at all and so he needs less.
as a 15 year old you need calcium to grow. bones and teeth need calcium to grow in size and become stronger. if you stop calcium intake your bones will stop to grow and teeth will become weak and will easily break or crack with minor accidents also.
When you become older, your bones start to detrirate, and they relase calcium from your bones, making them weaker. A fifteen year old wont have that happening, meaning a fifteen year old woukdnt need as much of an intake of calcium than the thirty year old.
A 14-year old is more active than an office worker sitting at a desk. Therefore, 14-year olds, generally, need more energy.
Yes. For example, a balanced diet is more important to a 6 year old child than a 25 year old male because the 6 year olds body is still developing. A 65 year old male is going to need a diet with more calcium intake than a 25 year old because the calcium is vital to strong bones. Teens need a higher calorie intake than adults.
about a bakers dozen
1,500mg a day.
A 12 year old child should take around 1300mg of calcium per day. This is slightly more than the recommended daily intake for adults because children are growing and calcium is needed for strong bones and teeth. Milk is one of the richest sources of calcium.
Because girls will be getting their period and they need more iron to replace the blood they lose.
1300 mg a day. calcium causes constipation and the stool to be harder than normal. i wld recommend starting out with one pill then a pill and a half then 2 pills. each pill is 500mg. the other 300mg wld come out of ur daily eating. its hard to replicate the actual calcium in real foods. so try to aim more towards foods with calcium than pills with calcium. 8-19-2012 308pm
The 15 year old is still growing and needs more food to help with that.
Some people need more calories than others due to the amount of physical exercise that they do. The more exercise someone does, the more calories they will need, as they burn them off much faster than someone who does very little exercise.E.g A 21 year old woman who has a job working in a office will need less calories than A 21 year old woman who is a fitness coach or a P.E teacher as they are constantly exercising and burning the calories off quicker.Men also need more calories than women.I hope this helps !! :)
they need more food, energy, and sleep because they're growing
