I, Too, Sing America By Langston HughesI am the darker brother. They send me to eat in the kitchenWhen company comes,But I laugh,And eat well,And grow strong.Tomorrow,I'll be at the tableWhen company comes.Nobody'll dareSay to me,"Eat in the kitchen,"Then.Besides,They'll see how beautiful I amAnd be ashamed-I, too, am America.
Expectations were different. Most girls would grow up to marry someone, have children and keep house. Most boys would grow up to learn a trade and work very hard to support a family. Girls were taught the skills they could be expected to use in the job they were expected to do, and boys were taught the skill that they could be expected to use. Why were these expectations different? Technology. Keeping house was a full-time job. Just you try keeping a house heated and lit by fires clean, washing things without a machine to do it, cooking on a fire, making all of your own and your children's clothes, keeping track of the household money, shopping, gardening, and possibly running a business on the side, all without any electricity. Someone had to do all these things and it made sense for it to be the person who might at the same time have to care for an infant.
I am running for the Miss Commerce Pageant to promote empowerment and confidence among young women in our community. I believe this platform will allow me to advocate for important causes, such as financial literacy and entrepreneurship, while inspiring others to pursue their passions. Additionally, I want to showcase the incredible talent and diversity within our community, creating a space where all voices are heard and celebrated. This experience will also help me grow personally and professionally, and I’m excited about the opportunity to make a positive impact.
Grow'st simply means Grow. For example: "When thou grow'st..." = "When you grow"
Since this is an opinion question, I'll answer with my opinion. I say yes, all contestants are winners in beauty pageants because they have had opportunities to learn some very important facts in life such as posture, confidence, personality, how to deal with losses, how to deal with the competitiveness of life in general as they grow older, this list can go on and on. And each and every thing they learn can and will be helpful to them at some time during their lives. Some pageants, the contestants are winners simply because they had to win their way from pageant to pageant to get there as in the Miss America pageant. They've had to win at least county and state competitions to get there. And, one could also consider herself a winner because they met the qualifications to enter into the pageant.
They are not expected to grow in number on the contrary the are expected to decrease in number as the number of humans increase.
they need to be mature. i have 14 brothers and sisters in my family 7 of them are in university and non of them watch cartoons. my twin sisters tori and Sam are 6 and a half and they don't watch cartoons so if u still watch cartoons and u r in university grow up!
