Hey - it's been awhile since I did the show so my memory might be a bit fuzzier than I'd like to admit, but I believe there are two main scenes with all three priests, and their main song is "Must Die". Most of that song is Caiaphas's though (I have no idea if I spelled that right) and the other two priests only sing like one solo line apiece. Other than that they mostly stand around looking evil as all hell. Enjoy it though - it's a great show. Totally biblically inaccurate... but the songs are fantastic.

Ending the pestilence is the priest's request of Oedipus in "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).Specifically, a pestilence afflicts Thebes. It causes children to die, crops to fail and livestock to ail. It has a chance of being solved if Theban King Oedipus gets involved.
A rabbie is a priest of course!
Friar Lawrence was the priest in Romeo and Juliet
That he has the respect of and is accessible to his people is what the priest's speech tells us about the kind of ruler that Oedipus is at the beginning of "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles (495 B.C.E. - 405 B.C.E.).Specifically, the priest of Zeus calls Oedipus the Savior of Thebes. He describes Oedipus as most powerful among men and most favored by the gods. He ends basically by saying that things are going to be sorted out because Oedipus is involved and always means business.
The priest is merely a vessel for Christ. Christ transubstantiates the bread and wine at the hands of the priest.

The priest represents Christ. At the Alter the Holy Spirit works through the priest to turn the bread and wine into the body and blood or Our Lord Jesus Christ. As Christ made the Church His bride the priest on earth marries himself to the Church.
No, the priest is an "alter Christus", "another Christ". When a man is ordained as a priest, he becomes more than the representative of Christ, Our Blessed Lord actually works through him. When the priest is consecrated the elements at Mass, he does not say, "this is Your Body", he says, "This is MY Body". He is speaking AS CHRIST. Similarly, during confession, he speaks as Christ, and says, "I forgive you your sins." We have Our Blessed Lord's guarantee that when the priest pronounces forgiveness, God is forgiving you.
Jesus was first taken to the high priest named Annas before being brought to Caiaphas.

Roman Catholic AnswerWhen the priest actually gives you Holy Communion, he says, "The Body of Christ".
The minister of the sacrament of reconciliation, also called Confession, takes the place of Christ. The proper minister for this sacrament is cleric in possession of Holy Orders, usually a priest or a bishop. In fact, during confession it is Christ who forgives you through the priest who acts as a vessel consecrated for that purpose. By his ordination a priest becomes intimately united to Christ. This is why in Confession the priest speaks in the Person of Christ, saying, "I absolve you".
well in a catholic church the eucharist is about Jesus Christ. we take the bread and wine to the priest and the priest is actually Jesus but in priest form and the priest (Jesus) converts the bread and wine into the body and blood of christ. when we take the body and blood, we are receiving the eucharist. eucharist has an H in it btw
