Actually it's not weight we are dealing with here, it is actually density. So what happens is when temperature increases, the density decreases and volume increases or vice versa if the temperature decreases, the density increases and the volume decreases.

Does hot or cold water boiler faster?

Cold water requires a higher temperature elevation than warm water does, and therefore will take longer to heat to boilinIf you start with hot water there is not enough difference in temperature from top to bottom to create an effective convection loop, because hot stuff only rises while in the presence of cold stuff to rise above. Warm water promotes a slower convection loop and hence will take longer for "ALL OF THE WATER" to hit 212 degrees.according to scientists, the notion that a body of cold water will reach boiling temperature more quickly than an identical body of hot water under the same parameters is simply false. This kitchen myth may have started as a way to encourage people to cook with cold water, not hot, which can contain more impurities. It may also have its origins in the fact that cold water generally gains heat more rapidly than water that is already hot, though it will not boil faster. But under the right circumstances, the reverse phenomenon can occur, and hot water can freeze more quickly than cool water.THE BOTTOM LINECold water does not boil faster than hot water, but hot water can freeze more quickly than cool water

What has more thermal energy a cup of boiling water or a pot of boiling water?

A pot of boiling water has more thermal energy than a cup of boiling water because it contains a greater volume of water and therefore a higher total amount of heat energy.

Which can transfer more heat 1 cup or boiling water or 1 teapot of boling water?

One teapot of boiling water can transfer more heat than one cup of boiling water because the teapot has a larger volume and surface area for heat transfer. The greater quantity of boiling water in the teapot allows for more heat to be transferred compared to the smaller amount in a single cup.

Does body fat weigh more than water?

No, body fat does not weigh more than water. Both body fat and water have different densities, with fat being less dense than water. This means that for the same volume, water would weigh more than fat.

Will a hot egg crack more than a cold egg?

Yes, a hot egg is more likely to crack than a cold egg when placed in boiling water because of the sudden temperature change. The thermal expansion in the hot egg causes stress on its shell, making it more susceptible to cracking.

Why does hot water take longer to boil than cold water?

Hot water takes longer to boil than cold water because hot water is already closer to its boiling point, so it requires more energy to reach the boiling point compared to cold water.

What kind of water makes more gas hot water or cold?

neither. the water needs to be boiling to create gas. Hot water will not create gas and cold water will not create gas. Yes, hot water will create gas more quickly than cold if boiled tho

Why does hot water boils faster than cold water?

Hot water boils faster than cold water because it is closer in temperature to the boiling point. The boiling point of water is 100oC. If we had hot water at 90oC and cold water at 20oC, then the hot one would reach the boiling point of 100oC faster, since it only has 10oC more to go adn less heat needs to be added.ummm... hot water and hot water boil at the same rate...

Does strawberry dissolved more in boiling water or in water?

Strawberry does not dissolve in water or boiling water as it is a solid fruit. However, when you mix strawberries with boiling water, the heat can help release more of their flavor and color into the water.

For 4 cups of boiling water do you boil 4 cups of water or do you measure water after boiling?

you measure the water before boiling. after boiling would be more tricky.

Which boils quicker warm or cold water?

Warm water will generally boil faster than cold water because warm water is already starting with a higher temperature, so it requires less energy to reach the boiling point.

Dose hot boil faster than cold water?

Yes, hot water boils faster than cold water because the molecules in hot water have more energy and are already closer to the boiling point. This means it takes less time and energy to raise the temperature of hot water to the boiling point compared to cold water.

What is the meaning of parboil pertaining to noodles?

Parboiling is cooking food in boiling water until it is partly cooked, to parboil noodles, drop them into boiling water, when partly cooked remove them and refresh in ice cold water to stop them cooking any more. Finish them off later, either in more boiling water, or add them to a stir fry or a bowl of soup. As they are already partly cooked they will be ready in no time.

Which can transfer more heat a cup of boiling water or a cup of tap water?

A cup of boiling water since it has higher temperature. Note that heat transfer depends more on the temperature.

Does a liquid weigh more after freezing or boiling?

Obviously frozen water. Its a solid after being frozen so it has become a solid. Actually it weighs the same I have conducted this experiment for my science fair and found that they weigh the same.
