Question: Your PO may be the one actually telling you that you have to take the class, BUT is he simply carrying out the court's ruling that you take it as part of your probation? If it was a court ruling that you take it, then the PO has no choice in the matter, he is simply following the judge's order. My suggestion would be this: Request a court hearing in front of the judge that granted you the probation sentence. Bring the Psychologist's diagnosis on letterhead stationery stating their opinion and present it to the judge, requesting that the anger management class portion of the order be waived. Do NOT simply fail to show up for the class - that in itself would be a VOP for which you could be revoked.

Is there anything you can do to force your 23 year old daughter to get help with her drug addiction?

Not really. They are of age. Now if there is a child involved. You can have the child removed and take over the custody of the child, your grandchild, whether temporary or permanent. Also is your daughter living with you? Well stop! You are just giving her a blanket at home. You are giving her a place to be safe with her addiction. You need to change the locks, put her things on the porch and tell her no more. We are done. She gets violent you can call the police department to have her picked up. You do not have to keep your daughter over your roof if she is doing this and it is disrupting the family organization. She is old enough to know better and if she cannot control her substance abuse then it is no longer on you to help her along with it either. That means no more contact with her. NO more money to her NO help what so ever. change your number on your phone and cell phones. Yes you are letting her go but she needs to be at her lowest point and then maybe she will realize i need help. Yes there is the possibility you will lose contact with her and she will only get worse and maybe die. But this is the only way you can do this to let her realize it is over. You are not going to be her hideout to do her drugs in any longer. And well no there is no way to get her to intervention unless she has a parole officer and she is not doing what she is supposed to be doing on parole. Then you need to contact the parole officer of her doings and it will be taken care of from there they will send out an officer to arrest her. That is the only other way.
