you might here about a tax imposed (jizya) on the non Muslims in a Muslim state, but vica versa there are taxes for Muslims (zakat) which non Muslims dnt have to pay, it usually equates to the same amount - and the same applies for laws.

in a Muslim country Muslims cant drink alcohol but non-Muslims can.

the quraan teaches to respect all religions and to learn about them - and it strictly forbids saying anything bad towards other religions as in turn you will provoke them to curse Islam - although you might read quotes/verses which have been manipulated to make you think otherwise.

if you do come across these quotes, do yourself a favour and read the entire chaptor as you will never get an idea wot the chaptor is saying by reading one sentence.

also read a commonly accepted translation not written by haters as they usually like to throw in stronger words perfect example quraan says you can marry a woman what ur right hand possess, but the haters translation would be you can have sexual intercourse with slave girls from war booty kill murder etc...

...and not take into account you cant marry a woman against her will. basically wot it says you can marry a female servent IF she wants to marry you - but haters would imply it says you can rape her...

Yes, of course. Muslims accepts other faiths and religions so far their followers don't attack Muslims. don't prevent them from practicing their ritual worships, and don't expel them from their lands and homes. It is a basic rule in Islam that no compulsion in religion. Everybody is free to accept the faith that he/she believes in and God is then will judge his soundness of his/her choice on the Resurrection Day.

Quran says (meaning English translation):

"Allah (or God and same God in Christianity and in Judaism) does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly." (60:8)

and says:

"And We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ. " (5: 48)
