Most countries in the northern third of Africa are predominantly Muslim. There are also large Muslim populations along the east coast of Africa as far south as Tanzania.

Is it generally accepted in Muslim countries? Muslim countries vary a great deal. Most people think of Muslim countries as limited to North Africa and the Middle East, but the largest Muslim communities are in countries like India, Pakistan, and Indonesia. English is the second language of choice in most non English-speaking countries, including Muslim ones.
Islam is most common in Africa, Western and eastern Asia,the middle east and south east Asia. But most Muslim countries have non Muslim minorities except for Saudi Arabia and Somalia, which are the only countries with 100% Muslim populations. Also, Islam is the fastest growing religion amongst the native populations of western Europe and the USA.
