Is it generally accepted in Muslim countries?
Muslim countries vary a great deal. Most people think of Muslim countries as limited to North Africa and the Middle East, but the largest Muslim communities are in countries like India, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
English is the second language of choice in most non English-speaking countries, including Muslim ones.
In France, I started to learn English in CP, which is the equivalent of the first grade. What we learned however was very basic and a more intense learning of English starts in sixth grade. In seventh grade, we start to learn a third language (usually either Spanish or German). Hope it helps!!
