top answer you are wrong plz do mroe research

its about the country's economy and richest not about your own point of view-_-

My Answer: Mauritius may be the richest in terms of per capita but that does not mean that it is the overall richest .. by far the richest African country is south Africa as it has the biggest economy followed by Egypt and also is the richest country in terms of natural resources having the most platinum and gold reserves in the world and infrastructure is of a world class standards and supports many African countries . for example Durban harbor supports Zimbabwe Mozambique and 2 other African countries. their facilities e.g malls museums etc are of a world class standard not to mention they have hosted the cricket soccer and rugby world cups which are very big events worldwide. People say that Nigeria is the richest country in Africa .. NOT AT ALL!! .. they may have lots of oil but have a very bad standard of living and facilities .. not to mention all the drugs and human trafficking in Nigeria.. companies like Dstv and Eskom and Mweb are south African companies but support most of Africa (especially Nigeria)

making South Africa the richest African county :)

Who was the President of Burkina Faso in 2014?

Blaise Compaoré was the President of Burkina Faso at the start of 2014 until October 31. Honoré Traoré took over as an acting President on behalf of the military, and was then replaced by

Yacouba Isaac Zida the next day. Michel Kafando became the acting President on November 18.

Compaoré was first made president on 1987 October 15 serving until 2014 October 31. He was first elected on 1991 December, getting re-elected in 1998, 2005 and 2010.

Burkina Faso's constitution now only allows a President to serve two terms of five years each maximum. This law was not passed until 2000, and not enacted until 2005, after Compaoré's re-election in 2005. Protests and rebellion in 2011 led to a constitutional change committee being formed. However, Compaoré attempted to amend the constitution in 2014 to let him cling to power. He was overthrown by protesters backed by the military as Compaoré fled to the Ivory Coast in exile. Presidential Elections would not take place until a year late on 2015 November 29.

Kafando, a non-military civilian, was chosen to be Acting President, serving from 2014 November 18 to 2015 December 29, excepting a brief week of Sept 17 to 23 where he was temporarily deposed by the military.
