What demographic transition stage is burkina faso?

Guinea-Bissau in most assumptions is in stage five of the demographic transition. As a professor in Human geography at Yale, I can prove that Guinea bissau is stage five because it refers to the transition from high birth and death rates to low birth and death rates as a country develops from a pre-industrial to an industrialized economic system.

This is typically demonstrated through a demographic transition model (DTM). The theory is based on an interpretation of demographic history developed in 1929 by the American demographer Warren Thompson (1887-1973).

Thompson observed changes, or transitions, in birth and death rates in industrialized societies over the previous 200 years. . The major (relative) exceptions are some poor countries, mainly in sub-Saharan Africa and some Middle Eastern countries, which are poor or affected by government policy or civil strife, notably Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Yemen and Afghanistan.

A correlation matching the demographic transition has been established; however, it is not certain whether industrialization and higher incomes lead to lower population or if lower populations lead to industrialization and higher incomes.

In countries that are now developed the demographic transition began in the 18th century and continues today. In less developed countries, this demographic transition started later and is still at an earlier rate.

its about the country's economy and richest not about your own point of view-_-

My Answer: Mauritius may be the richest in terms of per capita but that does not mean that it is the overall richest .. by far the richest African country is south Africa as it has the biggest economy followed by Egypt and also is the richest country in terms of natural resources having the most platinum and gold reserves in the world and infrastructure is of a world class standards and supports many African countries . for example Durban harbor supports Zimbabwe Mozambique and 2 other African countries. their facilities e.g malls museums etc are of a world class standard not to mention they have hosted the cricket soccer and rugby world cups which are very big events worldwide. People say that Nigeria is the richest country in Africa .. NOT AT ALL!! .. they may have lots of oil but have a very bad standard of living and facilities .. not to mention all the drugs and human trafficking in Nigeria.. companies like Dstv and Eskom and Mweb are south African companies but support most of Africa (especially Nigeria)

making South Africa the richest African county :)
