There are innumerable codes of law with an inordinate number of individual rules and regulations. (There is a reason why lawyers make a lot of money; they have to know a lot of rules.)

The 10 Commandments were a broad summary of the law. In the Old Testament, a law may be used for a commandment, a word, a decree, a judgement, a custom or a prohibition. The first five books of the Old Testament are also know as the Torah, or the Books of the Law. There were also oral laws (unwritten laws). There were Noachide
Laws (Jewish legend positing that seven laws were given to Noah to provide gentile nations with a moral code).
Jesus inaugurated a new era. Jesus moved the understanding of law from its external, legalistic meaning to its spiritual one (Luke 16:16). Jesus summed up the whole law and teaching of the prophets with two great principles of love for God and neighbor (Matt. 22:36-40).

Some other biblical laws besides the 10 commandments include laws about ceremonial cleanliness, dietary restrictions, laws regarding sacrifices and offerings, laws regulating social conduct and relationships, and laws governing feasts and festivals.
