Yes, the more room a turtle has, the more happy it will and it will live longer. Make sure the water is clean and it has plants and big rocks!

That seems awful large. Depending on the size of the turtle. You dont want to have too small of a home either because they can die from lack of space.

What happens to a red eared slider if you put it in a 10 gallon tank?

My guess it that it is not going to be a happy little turtle! I would recommend a MUCH larger tank or a fenced-in outdoor pond!

Can a red eared slider turtle live with ouachita map turtle?

I'm pretty sure. I've had a red eared slider and an Ouachita map turtle living together in the same tank for about... I don't know exactly... Maybe about 3 years? They are friendly toward each other (well, they aren't mean to each other) so I'm pretty sure they can be in the same tank. But my red eared slider did grow up together.

What temperature does my Red Eared slider turtle's tank need to be?

What king of container do you put 4 inch red eared slider in?

A long twenty gallon fish tank is optimal, but a ten gallon is a good temporary tank. It should be filled up to half way with dechlorinated water and have a rock or other basking spot that it can get out of the water onto.

Should you put your red eared slider in a plastic container to feed it?

you can but it likes it in the tank too

Can your 5 inched turtle get stressed out in a gallon tank?

A 5 inch sized turtle is too big for a gallon sized tank. They need more room to swim and the filtration needs more water than that for a turtle that size. I have a 5 inch male red eared slider in a 29 gallon aquarium and I consider that to be the smallest tank I would recommend.

What kind of pond should you keep your Red-Eared Slider in?

You can keep your slider in a small outdoor pond stocked with small live feeder fish, small snails, and aquatic plants. You can also keep him in an 75 gallon plus indoor tank. You should always bring your turtle in for the winter to keep him from hibernating or from freezing to death.
