Definitely not. Italians not only eat a variety of different foods but those foods and how they prepare them vary depending on the region they are in.

In the Northern regions they mirror the foods you might find in Northern European countries. In Venice it's very popular to eat sausages, risotto (a rice dish) and even kraut. In the the Florence or Tuscany area you are more likely to see dishes prepared with beans and breads rather then pasta. However there is the ever famous Tuscan steak usually eaten by 2-4 people and is a giant piece of steak similar to our Porter house cut.

In the South they are famous for their seafood dishes as they are surrounded by warmer climate and the Mediterranean Sea.

There is no doubt that Italy has made it's mark in the culinary world as the Pizza and pasta makers but there is so much more deliciousness to be had in Italy.
