Finland has always been very simple in food consumption, one the most common food items being potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, ryebread, edam cheese, butter, cowmilk, beef, fish, milkchocolate, lager beer, vodka and coffee. Although traditional Finnish meals are still popular within most families, the country has globalized a lot in the past 20 years and all the usual western junkfood stuff like rice, noodles, fries, Hamburgers, Pizza, feta, kebab and such is really popular and the vegetarian food has become really popular among youth in the past 10-15 years.
