About 300 mineral species are known from PA.
Brackney, or Montrose(north eastern and mid eastern PA)
PA uses their resources by using the coal-mining exporting. There is the Keystone Cemment company that makes cement from natural resources. PA people use wood from forests for fuel for their woodstoves. PA's spring water is bottled by Deer Park. PA is rich in resouces.
Coal isn't used all that much anymore. but some of the top mining areas in the US are PA, WV, Kentucky, VA, ND, and Wyoming.

Pennsylvania's number one industry is agriculture. By far. Check with the state. Check with gross revenue totals. Agriculture is hands down the state's #1 industry.
anthracite - northeastern pa bituminous- western pa
It has to be anthracite coal, because the geological "Pittsburgh Coal Field" which is bituminous coal is found in PA, WV, KY, OH, and Indiana.

Well, the children were mining for bituminous coal, and this coal is only found in Western PA, in the following counties: Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Cambria, Clearfield, Fayette, Green, Indiana, Jefferson, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland.
