Dodge does not use inertia/reset switches.

Try retuning the engine. Luckily for an EFI engine this is as easy as disconecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting. Start the car after retuning and see how it idles, hopefully it will fix the problem. Good luck! If the problem still remains, and when you give it some gas, it actually LOSES RPM, this may be a problem with the ECU/ECM, or a fuel problem (try draining a bit through the nipple on the fuel tube going into the injectors in the intake manifold).

The backup light switch is located on the side of the transmission. It has two wires coming off of it but they are probably covered in wire wrap.

The air filter of a 1997 Dodge Neon coupe is located in the air intake of the vehicle. Standard intakes use a plastic housing which flows throughout the engine bay. Locate the housing for the filter and remove the clips from the air box. Open the box and replace the filter.

To replace the fog light of the passenger side you need to lay on yoru back, remove the fog light bolt and pull out the fog light assembly, then you can remove the bulb and put a new one in (but do NOT touch the glass bulb with your fingers, the oilk in your skin will ruin the life of the bulb).

To replace the fog light on the driver side is the same unless you have cruise control...the vacuum canister will be in the way of the bolt, so you will only be able to get about a quarter turn of the wrench at a time, when putting the bolt/nut back in, reverse it, so next time you will have more room to turn the wrench.

or you can remove the front bumper cover so you can remove the vacuum box that is in the the way of the fog light bolt.

Find an empty spray bottle and fill it with soappy water (more soappy than watery). Start engine let it warm ( 5 min is good ). First try finding the area you believe the leak is occurring with your ears, and spray directly there. If engine rpm steadys, there she blows (Smile). Caution!
