Which is more dangerous basketball or baseball?

Football could be be if you get hit wrong. A school friend of mine was in a coma for weeks and took a year to recuperate. But he was hit illegally from behind, not as an actual part of the football action.

The reason for the helmets and pads is that collisions between boys or men, at the speeds at which they run in US football, is very likely to cause injury otherwise. Additionally, putting so much force on muscles and joints can damage them even without direct impact. Many players suffer ankle and knee injuries.

What is the energy transformation of bouncing a basketball?

Chemical reactions in the cells transform stored chemical energy into muscle contractions to allow muscles in the thrower to contract and impart kinetic energy to the ball as well as some increase in potential energy while it is still the the thrower's hand. Heat is also released as the chemical reaction takes place and is dissipated into the surroundings. After the ball leaves the hand of the first player, it gains potential energy as it rises to the apex of the arc of its trajectory. It also experiences some loss of kinetic energy as it rises to that apex. After it reaches the apex of its arc, it will continue its forward motion - still having plenty of kinetic energy and begin gaining some additional kinetic energy as gravity adds a downward component to the vector of its movement. As it loses height, it also loses potential energy. Eventually it reaches the player catching it. At that point, its motion stops and the kinetic energy is converted mostly to heat, although some of it is dissipated as sound waves as it creates that satisfying "smack" as it hits the mitt of the catching player. Note that all along its path between the thrower and the catcher, friction with the air will also convert some of the kinetic energy to heat as it travels along the arc. A chemical energy is also converted to kinetic energy as the catching player moves to catch the ball and provide resistance to halt the motion of the ball.

Depending on whether the ball being caught is involved in a disputed play, there can also be a lot of chemical energy converted to sound energy and motion as the manager storms out to argue with the umpire and thousands of fans yell their opinions and hurl half-empty beer cups onto the field.

To find sales on a portable basketball net, one should check the local newspaper for a sale flyer perhaps for toy stores, department stores or sporting goods stores that might carry the item you desire and include it in the sales discounts. How does a basketball become flat?

I'm pretty sure it gets deflated because when you heat up a rubber ball the air expands inside of it and makes it un-flat, or "pumped" up you could say. So it must reverse this effect for leaving it in cold air or chilling it down in the freezer. Hope I helped! :D

Whats the purpose of basketball?

The aim of Basketball is to score points by successfully shooting baskets at your opposing team's side. The team with the most baskets at the end of the game wins (After all quarters are played).

There are three-pointers and two-pointers given depending on the distance between you and the basket. A three-pointer is given only if you are outside of the 3-point line (In NBA this is around 20ft).

Anywhere inside the line based circle will be counted as a two-pointer. The occasional one point is given if you shoot a basket during a free throw.

There is however a timer of twenty-four seconds called a 'shot clock', pushing you to make a shot before time runs out or it'll be called a foul.
